Russ is not a useless wooden toy.

So it seems Russ Morland has scored himself a spot in a prestigious art show titled Useless Wooden Toys. The show will feature 27 artists from North America, and Europe, and includes the likes of Natas Kaupas, Chris "dune" Pastras, and Clint Peterson. Each artist custom designs one of these Furni clocks, which will then be auctioned off on Ebay with 100% of the proceeds going to the skate 4 cancer foundation. Not only does Russ' work showcase beside some of the biggest skating legends, and artists of all time, but it is for a fantastic cause. I nod in your general direction Russ. Good work.

why didnt my comment go up?

..your comment doesn't go up right away because I am screening them. Some people just don't have anything nice to say, and there's no reason for anyone else to see it. So if you post a positive comment, then don't worry, it will make it's way to the message board.

skate for cancer foundation, pretty cool cause. I wonder if we could do something locally to help raise money? Or we could just check out Robbies stale fishes.

anybody else think Russ' clock is amazing? That was the subject of this thread, wasn't it? Maybe I'm way off... it's just that it looked like a painted clock by Russ though...
(ps. Stalefishes!? "gnars bar!" ...some sort of Mars bar pun I heard a kid say one time at the park after a rad trick was landed)

Not just about me buddy, skate for cancer! I know it's like flogging a dead cherval

hate to be a cynical jerk but they'll never cure cancer.
Raising money only benefits the drug companies who profit from the sick. Would you want to get rid of your target market if you owned a business? So why should they?

It is a good idea though, if you need any help I'll do something out of this world.

Yeah if your buying drugs from them, what about all the inbetween stuff, reabilitation, ease of life during terminal stages, fun. Money goes to this aswell, sure people profit form this but folks need help in so many other areas, that money could buy a plane ticket for someone to go and spend there last days in the sun, I'm cool with that!

I think we are all cool with that. Maybe I exaggerated a little. We should do something to help out sometime this year.

...nothing would exist if there was no profit to be made. it's human nature, greed. it would be cool to organize something for the summer time to raise some money for charity..maybe we could skate to parksville or something.
